It's my hope that Biden will make an about-face with regards to money, munitions and military advice. But as for the Israeli culture... they've been steeped in vengeance for fully five months now. Their appetite has been whetted. It'll be like trying to stop a runaway train at this point, in terms of the population as a whole.
He has shown that he's all in by bypassing Congress to send more weapons while asking Israel nicely to stop the slaughter. I don't think he's willing to pull the plug, which is the only thing that would force them to stop. I really hate the thought of voting for him, but I guess it's a necessity in the current truly effed up state of our country.
As I recall, BBC News reported that Biden has already greenlit the Rafah incursion. (Of course, as I say that, I am unable to find the source where I saw this information. I'll keep trying to locate it.) This go-ahead was telegraphed weeks ago; still, the news hasn't really trickled into American news outlets yet.
So I agree: Biden wants credit for making noises, but he's still apparently unwilling to make concrete changes. I never thought he would be so stone-cold heartless until these last six months came to pass.
It is truly shocking, and he claims to be a Christian. What a joke. Much of Ireland is outraged and saying they disown him. I don't see the invasion in Rafah starting yet, but I'll be amazed if he does anything whatsoever.
